Thank you for visiting my website! I am a PhD-trained scientist-scholar first-generation college degree holder, an immigrant woman-of-color, an educator, and practitioner of diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging.
I lead and collaborate with Amazonians to drive the future of workforce and research using a forward-thinking approach. I build bridges between industry and academia to implement creative solutions, break silos, and deliver scalable strategies to enhance diversity and equity in the STEM workforce . |
I have in-depth experiences reforming practices, creating opportunities, and solving challenges in higher education at the undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels. I have held leadership positions at the department and college levels at private and public R1 universities and have overseen core aspects of the education ecosystem from different vantage points.
My portfolios of past and current work list some of the innovative and evidence-based educational challenges that I have addressed, often against stiff odds. I continue to work on untapped opportunities to make the future of STEM better across work sectors. I invite you to join me on this journey!

On a personal note, I experiment with cooking and baking, often trying new recipes and reviving old ones. I am (re)learning Carnatic vocal music - something I did not enjoy as a child, but do enjoy very much now. Finally, and most importantly, I love spending time with my family, which includes a goofy puppy! We go on hikes, play board games, and sometimes bake/cook together (puppy not included in the latter two activities, obviously!).
